Michael Allan Canlas, President and CEO of Bang Bang, is recognized for his product innovation, transforming bangus (milkfish) into a competitive product. He noticed that many people in the Philippines needed quicker seafood options instead of the usual take-out like roasted chicken or pork. To fill this gap, Canlas started Bang Bang, the first kiosk in the country to offer flavored fried bangus, served "bangbang in a pizza box" for easy delivery.
Bang Bang has grown to more than 100 locations across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. With menu items like Bang Bang Special Crispy Bangus, Canlas has made it easy for Filipinos to enjoy convenient seafood meals, bringing a traditional favorite into a modern form. His innovative approach has significantly reshaped the seafood take-out experience.

KIM LATO

Kim Lato, CEO of Kimstore, is recognized for her pioneering e-commerce leadership in channel innovation. She started Kimstore in 2006 while still in college, wanting to make shopping easier for Filipinos. After having trouble finding a camera online, she saw a need for better options and began importing cameras and accessories through Multiply.com, even before "social commerce" became popular.
Under her leadership, Kimstore has changed how Filipinos shop for technology. Innovations like the TechnoPop! pickup store and the KimXpress same-day delivery service set new standards for customer service. Kim Lato’s vision and dedication have made Kimstore a leader in e-commerce, helping brands succeed online and earning her the nickname "Ninang Kim." Her achievements have left a lasting mark on the e-commerce landscape.

Derrick Tan, CEO of Magna Prime Chemical Technologies Inc., is recognized for his significant contributions to chemical product innovation. He developed “SMARTBOND”, a flexible tile adhesive that is lightweight, making it easier and cheaper to handle and ship. This innovation is especially beneficial for construction companies, contractors, builders, and hardware stores.
With SMARTBOND, customers save on shipping and handling, install tiles faster, and spend less on labor. Its strong design keeps tiles from coming loose, ensuring a long-lasting finish. This innovative product gives homeowners and builders peace of mind, reducing the need for repairs and maintenance. Derrick Tan's commitment to innovation and quality is truly shaping the future of the construction industry.

DR. FRANCIS ALDRINE UY

Dr. Francis Aldrine Uy, Founder and CEO of USHER Technologies Inc., is recognized for his technological innovation in structural health monitoring systems. He created the Universal Structural Health Evaluation and Recording System (USHER System), the first Filipino-made system for checking building conditions during earthquakes. This technology helps building owners meet safety rules in an easy and affordable way.
The USHER System offers 24/7 monitoring for quick maintenance and safety checks, with over 191 installations in both private and government buildings. Dr. Uy's goal is to create a system that helps reduce risks from disasters, making communities safer and stronger, and better prepared for future challenges. His vision for a disaster risk reduction platform is making communities stronger and more prepared for future challenges.
